How Do We Quote Your Custom 3D Print Parts?

How Do We Quote Your Custom 3D Print Parts?

Curious On how Saturn3D quotes your parts? Here’s how we make sure that you get value for your money when 3D printing in Pakistan!

We choose the best slicer software for your use case; each one has a suite of custom features that allow us to print your parts as high quality as possible. These include Bambu Studio, Prusa Slicer, Ultimaker Cura, and Creality Print.

Next comes deciding the material, color, required strengths and resolution/accuracy, expected load and environmental conditions, and overall use case. We select the best settings for your 3D print.

These settings include (but are not limited to)

  • Infill percentage
  • Infill patterns
  • Layer Heights
  • Wall Widths
  • Resolution
  • Support settings
  • Seam positioning
  • Surface patterns
  • Any miscellaneous setting that the customer wants tweaking.
  • Print queue and order selection
  • Material and printer selection

Often, we’ll run a free test print to get a “feel” of the part, and once we’ve made sure that the settings are as best as they can be, the print times and costs are cross-verified with the customer, and the printer runs at full speed!

Our quotation rate depends on the following factors,

  • Material costs
  • Power unit and backup costs
  • Software licencing costs
  • Labor costs
  • Miscellaneous costs (packaging/deliveries/enclosure setup/etc.)

PLA, short for polylactic acid, is a beginner-friendly material in 3D Printing. It is relatively cheap, easy to print with, and produces medium-strength parts.

PETG, short for polyethylene terephthalate glycol, is a bit expensive, more challenging to print with (and pronounce), more resistant to environmental factors, and produces medium-strongish parts.

TPU, thermoplastic polyurethane, is twice as expensive as PLA, tough and slow to print due to its elasticity, and environment-resistant.
